Makeup For Women Who Love to Hit The Snooze Button

I am notorious for abusing the snooze button. It doesn’t matter if I slept for two hours or ten, the struggle of getting out of bed is the same no matter what. As much as I love doing my makeup, if I have to get up before 8 a.m., I opt for a quick and easy look just to make me look fresh and alive. This is my five-minute makeup routine that gets me out of the door on time, every time.

This product is: Cruelty-free

No matter how much makeup I am wearing, brows are always a must. This super thin pencil allows me to draw on hair-like strokes that make my bald brows look full and natural. I used to use the L’Oreal Brow Stylist Definer, but switched to NYX as a cruelty-free and affordable alternative.

This product is: Vegan, Cruelty-free

As someone with acne-prone skin, this concealer has been a game changer for me. Instead of caking on layers of makeup trying to hide my blemishes, this high-coverage product quickly masks my red spots. Even though it is so pigmented, it has a skin-like finish which helps me to obtain a natural look.

Processed with VSCO with hb2 presetGlossier Cloud Paint ($22)

This product is: Cruelty-free

I absolutely love this blush because it is so easy to apply. Each of the four shades creates a beautiful flushed look that is youthful and romantic. When I don’t have time to apply a lot of makeup, I like to go extra heavy on the apples of my cheeks to keep some colour on my face.

Processed with VSCO with hb2 presetABH Liquid Glow Highlighter ($33)

This product is: Cruelty-free, Free of Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates

I like to tap this liquid highlighter onto my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose and on my cupids bow. It creates a reflective, dewy finish that blends into the skin easily and goes well with the cream blush. I love that it doesn’t look like chunky glitter on my skin, but rather creates a radiant glow. The only thing is that it dries and sets rather quickly, so you have to blend it in right away.

Processed with VSCO with hb2 presetStellar Cosmic Setting Powder ($36)

This product is: Vegan, Cruelty-free, Gluten-free, Free of fragrance and mineral oils

To keep my t-zone looking matte through the day, I like to bake with this translucent powder by Stellar. It is very finely milled so it creates a beautiful blurring effect over your pores. It keeps my concealer looking fresh throughout the day. I let it sit while I apply the rest of my makeup and then brush it off.

Processed with VSCO with hb2 presetStellar Absolute Mascara ($26)

This product is: Vegan, Oil-free, Fragrance-free, and Cruelty-free

This unique mascara wand creates dense volume when the product is applied to your lashes. It carefully separates each lash into a perfect fanned shape. I love that when I use this mascara on my bottom eyelashes it creates a bold ’60s effect.

Processed with VSCO with hb2 presetGlossier Generation G ($20)

This product is: Cruelty-free

To finish everything off, I quickly smudge some Gen G in the shade Like on my lips. This colour is perfect because it is a slightly darker, rosier version of my natural lip shade. This product is supposed to give the look of blotted lipstick, without the added effort. It feels like a chapstick but adds a pretty wash of colour – the perfect combo for an everyday lip.
