Eyes on Fire: How to Wear Red Eyeshadow

Red lips and nails are iconic. The look is  bold, sexy, and classic. Red eyeshadow on the other hand rarely gets the same appreciation.

It may be due to the association that red eyes have with drugs, crying, and infection (yikes). None of the above are particularly attractive. Either way, this is a misconception. If you don’t think so, you probably haven’t seen Kristen Stewart in the Chanel Le Rouge Fall 2016 collection.

When looking for a red eyeshadow, stick to warmer toned colours. With lipstick, fire engine red with blue undertones may make your teeth look as white as can be, but on the eyes it harsh and less flattering. Bronze shadows are the perfect compliment to red to blend out the crease and add some dimension to the look. For an intense look, wear a dark, blood-red lipstick. Alternatively, keep it simple by swiping a nude gloss over your lips.

Thanks so much ❤ I think with looks like this, that aren't going to be worn all of the time, it is so silly to spend a lot of money on the products when there are cheaper alternatives!
