Toronto-based artist, Charlotte Day Wilson, is bringing a subtle elegance to alternative soul music.
The melody of the song is luminous. Paired with the beat, it gives you butterflies and makes you want to call the person you’re in love with. After All is the last track that Charlotte Day Wilson posted on her SoundCloud. Her debut EP is to be released at some point this year, according to her Facebook page.
If you want to hear more and don’t want to wait for the EP, Charlotte is also a part of The Wayo – a four-piece band out of Halifax and Toronto that is just as amazing as Wilson’s independent work. In last year’s Wanderings EP by the band, Wilson’s velvety voice and a funky ass bass line pull you into a dream like state.
